Hardware Automation Engineer

We are currently seeking a ‘Hardware Automation Engineer’ to join the excellent organisation.

Role responsibilities:

• Organization and execution of switching and converter cabinet tests
• Creation of test documentation for all electrical matters relating to the company’s machines and controls and power-switching devices
• Permanent optimization and further development of test templates and workshop processes
• Occasional implementation of plant commissioning, conversions and service calls in Germany and abroad (maximum travel 20%)
• Planning and support of the electrical installation of the machines

What we are looking for:

• Successful qualification as an electrician technician, or a bachelor’s degree in the field of automation technology or a comparable technical qualification
• Experience in dealing with E-plans
• Knowledge of converters (incl. parameterization)
• Safe handling of current electrical engineering standards
• Experience in dealing with Siemens Simatic S7 controllers and HMIs, ideally with Allen Bradley as well
• Knowledge of machine and ATEX directives and knowledge of process engineering systems and machines is an advantage
• Experience in reading piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&I diagrams) would be an advantage
• Good knowledge of German and English
• Distinct customer orientation, independent working methods, resilience and ability to work in a team
