CrimsonXT is seeking an experienced Senior MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a large-scale 30MW data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. This is an exciting opportunity for an MEP professional to take a leading role on a high-profile, mission-critical project. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in managing MEP systems on large, complex projects, ensuring the highest standards in quality, safety, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee all MEP-related aspects of the data centre construction, ensuring smooth coordination between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
  • Design Management: Collaborate closely with design teams, providing technical expertise and ensuring that MEP designs are delivered on time and within project requirements.
  • Contractor Management: Lead and manage subcontractors, ensuring MEP works are delivered to specifications, quality standards, and within agreed schedules.
  • Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor MEP-related costs, ensuring that the project stays within the allocated budget. Collaborate with commercial teams on forecasting and reporting.
  • Risk Management: Identify, mitigate, and manage risks associated with MEP systems, ensuring proactive solutions are implemented.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all MEP installations meet the required quality standards, and adhere to project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.
  • Health & Safety: Promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders related to MEP works.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports, highlighting any potential issues, and recommending action plans.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in managing MEP systems on large-scale construction projects, with a focus on data centres, critical infrastructure, or similarly complex projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with proven experience in delivering MEP packages for data centres or mission-critical facilities.
  • Project Expertise: Demonstrated experience on high-value, large-scale projects, particularly in the data centre or critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications: Professional accreditation (e.g., CEng, PMP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English essential. Proficiency in German is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Location: Willingness to be based in or relocate to Frankfurt, Germany, for the duration of the project.
