This client is seeking a Head of Electrical Engineering to lead their team in designing and developing advanced energy systems. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strategic mindset, technical expertise, and the ability to scale teams from the ground up while fostering a strong engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape and oversee the electrical engineering strategy and architecture for innovative energy systems.
  • Lead the development process, from early-stage prototyping to late-stage manufacturing.
  • Build and scale a high-performing engineering team while mentoring leaders within the group.
  • Drive technical innovation, ensuring rapid iteration and execution.
  • Collaborate across disciplines (mechanical, chemical, electrical) to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Establish the strategic direction for engineering initiatives while promoting collaboration and innovation across teams.
  • Cultivate a culture of transparency, inclusion, and technical excellence.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s or advanced degree in electrical engineering or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
  • Significant expertise in power electronics and high-voltage power systems.
  • 10+ years of experience in hardware development at a senior level (director or above).
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling engineering teams (15+ team members).
  • Experience with system design for electromechanical devices and deploying industrial-grade products.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and sourcing critical components is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills with a focus on influencing and inspiring teams.
