Role responsibilities:

As the Head of Sales, you will:

  • Oversee channel and partner development, expanding profitable sales channels, partners, and resellers.
  • Represent the company at industry events, roadshows, and conferences.
  • Participate in strategic business planning to develop accurate sales projections and budgets.
  • Ensure regional sales managers meet quarterly and annual sales objectives.
  • Identify untapped client segments and market opportunities to enhance global sales strategies.
  • Develop a sales strategy to secure enterprise-level and channel deals, achieving or exceeding goals and metrics.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competition, and industry insights domestically and internationally.
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics to drive performance and results.
  • Manage sales funnel growth and ensure forecast accuracy.
  • Coach sales professionals, holding them accountable for their performance.
  • Create go-to-market strategies tailored to target verticals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sales processes with partner needs.
  • Refine strategies for analyzing and reporting sales performance.
  • Provide strategic direction and training to the sales team.
  • Support Regional Sales Managers with joint presentations and best practices for closing business.
  • Enhance CRM (NetSuite) usage for sales reporting, data integrity, and forecasting.
  • Provide weekly sales reports to senior management.
  • Contribute to sales and marketing collateral development and new product launches.
  • Educate architects, consulting engineers, and contractors on the company’s value proposition.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train future sales team members.
  • Oversee forecasting and reporting standards using data visualization tools.
  • Assist the EVP with board planning and data analysis, creating presentations that simplify complex ideas.
  • Analyze sales data for insights into territory allocation, product mix, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Ensure the sales team excels in solution selling and is deeply knowledgeable about the company’s offerings.
  • Maintain relationships with C-level executives across industries and partners, offering strategic advice to grow business.
  • Facilitate alignment and communication within the sales team and with partners/customers, resolving conflicts promptly.

Expectations:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A proven track record as a strategic sales operations executive with experience leading a sales enablement function.
  • Expertise in sales enablement, analytics, and leveraging modern technologies to optimize sales performance.
  • Demonstrated success in building or transforming structured sales operations.
  • Strong leadership skills, managing teams of 12–15 and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Experience in high-volume sales environments with significant scale and complexity.
  • A disciplined approach to the sales process, ensuring CRM hygiene and alignment with the buyer’s journey.
  • Experience managing annual changes, including territory and quota adjustments.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey the vision and inspire internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred skills:

  • Expertise in competitive analysis and strategy development for effective solution positioning.
  • Experience with RFP processes and collaboration with engineers and contractors.
  • Field sales experience (preferred but not required).
