CrimsonXT has partnered with a dynamic Series A stage battery technology company with an innovative approach to driving the future of lithium-ion battery technology. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated R&D Manager to join the team and contribute to the mission of revolutionizing the energy industry.

Qualifications:

• PhD in a relevant field with at least 5 years of post-degree experience in the battery industry (experience with start-ups is highly desirable).
• Over 5 years of experience in lithium-ion battery materials and processes, with a focus on electrolytes and lithium metal anodes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address technical challenges using fundamental and practical approaches.
• Experience managing small to mid-sized research teams, demonstrating technical leadership.
• Adaptable and proactive problem-solving attitude, especially suited for a fast-paced start-up environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute the design, testing, and interpretation of lithium metal batteries to identify optimal cell chemistries and understand degradation mechanisms.
• Lead the creation of intellectual property or trade secrets to protect the company’s technological advancements and maintain a competitive edge.
• Oversee joint-development program timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure the success of assigned projects and support R&D operations.
